51st AVENUE HQ

About Us

“Hard-hitting hyper-modern pop-rock from the depths of Sydney.”

51st Avenue is creating a modern and exciting sound by melding electronic-pop and heavy rock. 51st Avenue have rapidly made a name for themselves across Sydney & the broader Australian alternative music community. With a string of shows sharing stages with Hands Like Houses, Young Lions, The Beautiful Monument, Eat Your Heart Out, Clay J Gladstone & NORA, the band have also toured nationally with their debut headline run across Brisbane, Sydney, Melbourne & Newcastle late in 2022.

Triple j’s ‘Short. Fast. Loud’ has been a big supporter of the band, with a First Play on their last single, as well as previous airplay, with tastemakers Wall of Sound, Heavy Magazine & Scenestr also supporting. 200,000+ streams across DSP’s sees 51st Avenue poised to capitalize on their rapidly emerging fanbase in 2023. Alongside this, the band’s Twitch channel has seen them streaming regularly, with 1200+ followers on this platform.

Their latest single ‘Mind Your Own’ is their most personal exploring how the decision to start a family isn't anyone else’s business how one chooses to manage their career wit that decision.

SoSo Tour w/ Down And Out, We Are Not Robots & 51st Avenue

Friday, May 26 @ 7:00PMFri, May 26 @ 7:00PM

The Chippo Hotel, 87-91 Abercrombie Street, Chippendale

Self-described Offensively Average pop-punks SoSo are heading out on tour across the East coast as part of their ‘This Tour Ain’t Big Enough for the Both of Us’ tour! Joining them along the way will be fellow Australian pop-punk up-and-comers Down And Out. Fresh off the release of their rousing new track ‘Pushing Up Daisies’, SoSo continue to build a loyal and dedicated fanbase with their brand of offensively average pop-punk. 2022 saw the band successfully complete a run of headlining dates across the Australian East coast and release a slew of stand-out singles which were widely embraced by fans and tastemakers alike. After gaining significant exposure and momentum throughout last year, the band ultimately caught the eye of the industry and scored an opening slot for pop-punk heavyweights Yours Truly. SoSo’s songs ‘Wasted Time’ and ‘The Festival Song’ were also featured on Aussie TV show ‘Home & Away’ and on Canada’s huge ‘Hockey Night! in Canada’ TV broadcast, capping off a huge 2022. SoSo have well and truly hit their stride, with their live performance matching the energy and rowdiness of their records and social media antics. Fresh off the heels of their debut EP “All Things Considered”, the 5 piece travelling circus known only as Down And Out are hitting the road with their good friends SoSo! Having built a cult-like fanbase in their hometown of Adelaide and cementing themselves at the forefront of the new wave of Australian pop-punk, Down And Out are anxious to break out and play a run of dates to show the rest of the country what they’ve got.

General Admission (18+) - $23.50
